Bhubaneswar: Higher Education department today clarified that this year’s Common PG Entrance Test previously scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, June 29, 2023) will be held as was notified beforehand, despite the change effected to Id-ul-Zuha holiday date for all its offices.

“Odisha government has announced June 29, 2023 (Thursday) as a holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha. Accordingly, all educational institutions in the State will remain closed tomorrow. However, Common PG Entrance Test (CPET 2023) will be conducted on Thursday as per the scheduled time. Three Sittings of the CPET 2023 as decided earlier by State Selection Board of the Department will be held tomorrow,” a tweet of I&PR department mentioned.

Worth mentioning, the Higher Education department had announced on April 26 the schedule for CPET-2023 and e-Admission to universities and colleges in Odisha with PG Courses, under Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the Session 2023-24.

The entrance tests were to be held from June 23 to July 4 except June 28 and June 30.
