The Odisha government will spend Rs 150 crores for the development of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) of which Rs 110 crores will be spent on infrastructural development of the BPUT headquarters in Rourkela.
The decision was taken at a high level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat today.
It was also decided in the meeting to open a new course in urban planning and fill up vacant posts in the university.
Minister for ET & T Sanjay Dasburma, chief secretary GC Pati, Development commissioner, additional chief secretary of Finance and ET & T secretary were present in the meeting.
