Odisha HC rejects NHAI status report on NH to Puri

The Odisha High Court today rejected the status report submitted by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) on the progress of construction work on the Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway.

Terming it as incomplete, a division bench of Acting Chief Justice Pradeep K Mohanty and Justice Biswajit Mohanty instructed the project director of the NHAI to submit the complete status report along with photographs of the completed road within 10 days.

The order came in response to a PIL praying for early completion of the 59-km-long four-lane road in view of the Nabakalebar festival of Lord Jagannath in July.
