Odisha Health Minister’s daughter booked for violation of COVID-19 guidelines

Jharsuguda: The police registered a case against Deepali Das, the daughter of Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, for allegedly violating COVID-19 guidelines in Jharsuguda.

Based on a complaint lodged by Jharsuguda Municipality Official and COVID-19 Magistrate, the Jharsuguda Town Police registered a case against Deepali Das. This was informed by Jharsuguda SP Rahul PR today.

On June 22, during a function to felicitate corona warriors at the DRDA conference hall, Deepali Das and some other persons present did not maintain social distancing norms and adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines.

Also, the police booked the persons present at the function.

In her reaction, Deepali said, “Some disappointed people unnecessarily pointed finger towards me.  I want to clarify I will respect the law and continue to work for the people of Jharsuguda.”
