Odisha: KMBM Inter School Football tourney kicks off

Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium (BJEM) School and Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 won their opening matches in the Kalinga Marine-Bibekananda Memorial (KMBM) Inter-School Football Tournament which began at the Unit-VI Govt Boys High School ground in Odisha’s capital city here today.

In the first match, BJEM School beat St Joseph High School by 1-0 goal. Abhijit Sahoo scored the winning goal in the 18th minute.

In the other match, Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 defeated DAV School, Pokhariput by 2-0 goals. H Ashutosh Basantaray and Ashish Kumar Barik scored a goal each in the 13th and 24th minute.

In the next two matches on Saturday, DAV School (Unit-8) will meet St Xavier School (Kedargouri) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) will take on DAV School (Chandrasekharpur).
