Odisha launches call centre to assist farmers during lockdown

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to provide agriculture solutions to farmers over telephone during coronavirus lockdown, the Odisha Government has made a call centre (18001025166) namely ‘Ama Krushi’ operational, said Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of Government of Odisha on COVID-19, today.

Launched by Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, the call centre will provide assistance to the farmers and bring solutions to problems in agriculture, he said.

It will function everyday from 12 noon to 8 pm. Post that, farmers can record their issues and the concerned team will reach out to them within 24 hours, he added.
