Odisha reports 110 fresh COVID-19 cases; here’re the details

Bhubaneswar:  The number of total COVID-19 positive cases in the state mounted to 3250 today after 110 more persons tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, said Health and Family Welfare Department.

Of the new cases, 97 have been reported from quarantine centres while remaining 13 are local contacts.  The fresh cases have been reported from 17 districts- Jagatsinghpur (33), Raygada (4), Cuttack (20) Jharsuguda (1) Khordha(14),  Nayagarh (4), Bargarh (2) Bhadrak (1), Kalahandi (4), Gajapati (11), Puri (7) Balangir (1) Kendrapada (1), Mayurbhanj (4), Koraput (1), Keonjhar (1) and Boudh (1)

Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the department.

With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 1106. While 2133 persons have so far recovered in the state, nine have succumbed to the virus.

Worth mentioning, the deadly coronavirus has spread to all the 30 districts of the state with Ganjam registering the highest 649 cases followed by Jajpur and Khordha with 326 and 290 cases, respectively.
