Odisha reports 2 more COVID-19 deaths; toll rises to 27

Bhubaneswar: Two more COVID-19 patients in Odisha succumbed to the deadly virus, informed State Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today.

While one death was reported from COVID hotspot Ganjam district, Angul district registered its first COVID-19 death case. Both the patients died while undergoing treatment in COVID hospitals.

“Regret to inform of the deaths of two Covid positive patients, 49 year old male of Ganjam district and 57 year old male of Angul district, while under treatment in hospital,” H&FW said.

With two deaths in last 24 hours, the toll in Odisha rose to 27 and 8 COVID patients with co-morbid conditions have died due to other complications under treatment.

Yesterday, two death cases were reported from Ganjam district.
