Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 718 new COVID-19 cases, second single-day hike so far, taking the tally to 16,110, informed the Government. Earlier on July 10, the state had reported highest 755 positive cases.
While 479 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, remaining 239 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The fresh cases have been reported from 24 districts: highest from Ganjam (231), Angul (9), Balasore (9), Bargarh (4), Bhadrak (10), Cuttack (32), Dhenkanal (6), Gajapati (21), Jagatsinghpur (16), Jharsuguda (24) Kandhamal (7), Kendrapada (4), Keonjhar (28), Khordha (150), Koraput (27), Malkangiri (54), Mayurbhanj (22), Nabarangpur (1), Nayagarh (13), Puri (9), Rayagada (19), Sambalpur (7), Sonepur (5) and Sundargarh (10)

In the last 24 hours, 7818 swab samples were tested. So far 3,69,738 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state.
