Odisha reports zero COVID-19 deaths for first time in six months

Bhubaneswar: Amidst scare over new strain of Coronavirus in the country, Odisha today registered zero deaths due to the deadly virus for the first time after six months.

“There are no COVID deaths in the State in the last 24 hours,” informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department today.

With no COVID death in the last 24 hours, the toll stands at 1,887 in the State.

The first death due to COVID-19 was reported on April 7 last year in Odisha after a 72-year-old man of Jharpada area succumbed to the virus on April 6, 2020 while undergoing treatment at the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
