Odisha: Snakes rescued from hospitals in Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj

Bhadrak: Panic gripped patients at the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Odisha’s Bhadrak this morning as a cobra was spotted inside the female ward of the medical.

On being informed, a Snake Helpline member reached the spot and rescued the snake.

In a similar incident, a Forsten’s cat snake was today rescued from Rangamatia community health centre in Baripada of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

The reptile, around 6 feet in length, was initially spotted over the air conditioner of a doctor’s chamber. A local snake charmer rescued the animal and released it into a nearby forest.
