Following the hike, double tones milk be priced at Rs 32 per litre instead of the existing Rs 30 while toned milk will be priced at Rs 34 instead of existing price of Rs 32.

“As per the declaration of Odisha government, this price difference will be passed o the milk farmers directly,” said OMFED CMD cum Fisheries and Animal Husbandry secretary Bishnupad Sethy.

“The milk farmers of the state had been continuously demanding the OMFED and government to revise the prices. The government has considered and entertained the request to benefit the farmers,” he added.

Given the existing stock of packing rolls with OMFED, Sethy has requested the customers to cooperate with the new prices from Dec 21 since the packets reflect the old prices.
