Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued rainfall warning for several districts of Odisha while a low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal tomorrow.

As far as temperature forecast is concerned, the Meteorological Centre said there will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 4-5 days and it will be above normal by 2-3°C during next 3-5 days over the districts of Odisha.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area is likely to form over south Andaman Sea and neighbourhood by November 13. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over east central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on November 15.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha for next five days

Day-1 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 12.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 13.11.2021): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, at a few places over the districts of Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, at one or two places over the district of North Coastal Odisha, Boudh, Nuapada, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Bolangir and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Puri, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 14.11.2021): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Odisha & at one or two places over the district of North Coastal Odisha and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.11.2021up to 0830 hrs IST of 15.11.2021): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Interior Odisha & at one or two places over the district of Coastal Odisha and dry weather likely to prevail over the districts North Interior Odisha.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 16.11.2021): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha & at one or two places over the district of South Interior Odisha, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 17.11.2021): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, at a few places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Boudh and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
