Rajnath undergoes check-up at Gurgaon hospital, discharged

Gurgaon, March 7:

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh underwent a check-up, including a cardiology test, at a private hospital here on Saturday, a doctor said. He was later discharged.

Rajnath SinghA senior home ministry official, who did not wish to be named, said that the Rajnath Singh had gone to the hospital for a “pre-scheduled annual routine check-up”.

He also said that the check-up included a cardiac test.

A doctor, however, said Rajnath Singh, 63, went to the Gurgaon hospital on Saturday morning following chest pain.

An earlier report said that he was admitted to the hospital. However, he was discharged after a few hours.

Rajnath Singh arrived at Medicity Medanta hospital around 9.15 a.m. on Saturday and left the hospital at 1.20 p.m.

The doctors treating him refused to say anything about his condition.

Sources told IANS that heart specialist R.R. Kasliwal and kidney specialist Vijay Kher examined him.

A.K. Dubey, medical superintendent of Medicity Medanta hospital, declined to comment on the home minister’s condition. IANS
