Ten primary and secondary teachers of Odisha were felicitated with the ‘Rashtriya Gourav’ Award for the year 2013 by President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on the occasion of Guru Diwas today.

The 10 teachers are Durga Prasad Maharana, assistant teacher of Patitapaban Vani Mandir School at Gambharimunda of Khordha district, Niranjan Das, Sanskrit teacher of Satyabadi High School in Bhapur block of Dhenkanal district, Sachidananda Sahu, headmaster of Panchayat High School at Balitutha in Jagatsinghpur district, Mrs Satyabhama Muduli, assistant teacher of Ramaniketal UP School at Sahupada in Baleswar district, Mrs Lalita Khanda, headmistress of Gariamala Primary School in Sundargarh district, Alekh Chandra Nayak, headmaster of Ichaapur Primary School in Bhadrak district, Mrs Jyotirmayee Nath, headmistress of Naranpur UP School at Kankadapal in Dhenkanal district, Prahllad Nayak, headmaster of Saimata Primary School at Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district and Pratap Chandra Jena, headmaster of Rangeilunda Primary School under Bhanjanagar block of Ganjam district.
