Rourkela Hospital OPD to be closed over detection of COVID cases

Rourkela: The Outpatient Department (OPD) of the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) in Odisha will be closed from tomorrow over the detection of COVID-19 cases at the healthcare facility, an official said.

The OPD will remain shut till July 15. However, services for trauma, delivery and emergency cases will continue.

Patients have been advised not to visit the OPD during the period.

Yesterday, Bonai Sub-divisional Hospital in Sundargarh district closed its OPD for an indefinite period after a staffer tested positive for COVID-19.

Similarly, OPD of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar was closed on July 10 until further orders as some patients and staffers of the hospital tested positive for COVID-19.
