Spurious tobacco unit busted in Odisha capital; 3 held

Bhubaneswar: A spurious tobacco manufacturing unit was today busted by the Twin City Commissionerate Police at Mahadev Nagar in Jharpada area of Odisha capital.

Police have also arrested three persons in this connection after raiding the unit this morning.

Packets and labels of some tobacco companies, other packing materials and packaging machines have been seized from the spot.

The manufacturing unit was allegedly involved in producing fake tobacco products for the last six months and selling those in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack markets at a price lower than the original products.
