Summer heat: Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda boil at 41 degree C

Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha are battling the scorching summer and heatwave as many places stood above 40 degree Celsius today.

By 2:30 PM on Saturday, Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda became the hottest places in Odisha with the maximum temperature 41 degree Celsius.

Sambalpur and Chanbali recorded 40.6 degree C and 40 degree C respectively during the period.

Similarly, Hirakud registered 39.4 degree C, Keonjhar 37.2 degree C by 2:30 PM today.

Such weather condition is likely to continue in many parts of the state till April 16.

The MeT issued heatwave warning for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh and Sonepur for tomorrow.
