Sushant Dash from Odisha appointed CEO of Tata Starbucks

Bhubaneswar: Many Odias have made the state proud by taking top positions in several reputed conglomerates of the country, be it in banking or insurance sector. One more persons has been added to the list with Sushant Dash appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tata Starbucks.

He will join as the CEO-Designate of Tata Starbucks with effect April 1 and take over as the CEO on May 1.

Currently, he serves as the president (packaged beverages) at Tata Consumer Products and responsible for the markets in India, Bangladesh and Middle Eastern. He oversees a range of packaged drinks and teas, including Tata Tea, Tetley and Himalayan among others.

An alumnus of Ravenshaw College (University), Dash will be the fourth CEO to manage the coffee chain’s India business since it first launched its operations in October 2012 in a 50:50 joint venture with Tata Consumer Products. The chain currently operates over 215 stores across 17 cities in the country.

In a statement, the company said Dash was part of the core team that opened the first store of Tata Starbucks in the country and was directly responsible for the strategy and marketing of the Starbucks brand, the company said in a statement.
