Swine flu toll mounts to 27 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The swine flu death toll in Odisha mounted to 27 with one more person succumbed to the viral infection today.

As many as 18 swab samples were tested today at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) out of which 2 tested positive.

So far, 292 persons in the State have tested positive for H1N1 out 857 swab samples.

Meanwhile, swine flu has claimed over 1,000 lives so far this year, which is four times more than deaths recorded last year, with a total of 22,186 cases reported across the country till now, data from the Union health ministry revealed.
