This area in Odisha’s Cuttack city declared as containment zone

Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today declared 38 buildings in Sector-9 of CDA as containment zone after a resident of the area tested positive for COVID-19.

CMC Commissioner Ananya Das announced the main road in front of Plot No D-47 to D-49, road in front of D-1 to D-49, Ambatota road from D-1 to B-34 and back side of Plot no B-35 to A-16 as a containment zone to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Worth mentioning, a 46-year-old male police personnel, who was residing in Sector-9 of CDA tested positive for the deadly virus yesterday.

As per the CMC Commissioner’s order, all vehicular movement and personal movement will be stopped.

The inhabitants within the containment zone will strictly remain in home. Shopping establishments have been asked to remain close immediately.

The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the CMC.

All the government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone has been directed to be shut.

So far, a total of 35 persons have tested positive for the deadly virus in CMC area.
