Thunderstorm with lightning very likely in these Odisha districts; IMD issues Yellow Warning for coming 4 days

Bhubaneswar: Although, no significant synoptic system lies over the region and southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts in the State. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar issued Yellow Warning for the next four days, in its mid-day bulletin today.

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 37.7^oC was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 23.8^oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal.

For Monday (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.

Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi districts.

For Tuesday (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Gajapati and Ganjam.

For Wednesday (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 06.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Bolangir and Nuapada.
