Truck mows down two girls near Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Jan 30:

In a tragic incident, two girls of Khordha district died in a road mishap on national Highway 5 near Tamando near the Odisha capital this evening.

The deceased have been identified as Tilottama Parida (25) and Sabita Biswal (26).

The incident took place when a rice-laden truck hit the scooty in which they were traveling and dragged it along for some distance. Both the girls died on the spot.

Getting information from locals, police reached the spot and sent the dead body to the Capital hospital here for autopsy.

The mishap took place when both of them were on their way to Khurda from Bhubaneswar.
