Two more COVID-19 patients die in Odisha; toll rises to 29

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported two more deaths due to COVID-19 taking total toll to 29 so far, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh deaths were reported from COVID hotspot Ganjam district.

“Regret to report the demise of two Covid positive cases. A 66 year old Male of Ganjam district, who was also a known case of Hypertension. A 40 year old Male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes,” said H&FW.

With this, the district registered 18 deaths due to the deadly virus so far.

Meanwhile, the State registered all-time high 561 COVID cases today, of which Ganjam has the highest number of 283 fresh positive cases.

The COVID-19 tally in Odisha now surged to 8106 with 2567 active cases and 5502 recovered cases.
