Two more farmer deaths reported from Burla, Odisha

Two farmers have died in Veer Surendra Sai Medical College in Burla today, they were admitted to the hospital after they had consumed poison, burdened by debt and worried about crop loss.

The deceased peasants are Makar Dhwaja Bagh of Bhatli in Bargarh district and Shaktidhar Behera of Baragaon from Sundargarh district.

Makar Dhwaja had been admitted on Wednesday, while Shaktidhar Behera has been brought to the hospital a few days ago.
Both these farmers had been admitted to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, in Burla in serious condition after drinking poison allegedly due to crop loss and heavy debt burden.
Yesterday, a farmer in Sonepur district, a native of Sarasmali village, under Rampur police station, had committed suicide by drinking poison.
