Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. It falls on the day of Kanya Sankranti.

Vishwakarma Puja 2022 Date: September 17, Saturday.

It is also celebrated on the last day of Bengali Bhadra month in the eastern states of India.

Rituals: On this day, special pujas are held in shops, factories, offices and workplaces. Devotees worship Lord Vishwakarma and His ‘Vahan’ elephant.

The idol of Lord Vishwakarma is placed at decorated pandals. After the completion of puja, Prasad is distributed among all.

Workers also worship their tools on this day and the work remains closed for the day.
