Wife of Dawood Ibrahim’s close aide accuses Hardik Pandya, Munaf Patel and Rajeev Shukla of rape

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: In a sensational allegation, the wife of Riyaz Bhati, a close aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has accused cricketers Hardik Pandya and Munaf Patel as well as Congress leader Rajeev Shukla of rape.

Riyaz’s wife, Rehnuma, claims that she was married to him at the age of 15. She accused her husband of marital rape, torture and assault. She claimed that Riyaz forced her into having sexual relations with high-profile businessmen and other celebrities and threatened to kill her and their two children if she refused to comply.

In her complaint, Rehnuma claimed that she was forced to sleep with former Indian pacer Munaf Patel in a hotel. She further stated that Pandya and two of his friends raped her under the influence of alcohol. They “committed unnatural sexual activities under the influence of alcohol and drugs,” her complaint reads.

Another high-profile individual whose name has been dragged is Congress leader and former chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Rajeev Shukla. Rehnuma alleged that Shukla raped her and threatened to make intimate pictures and videos of her public.

Rehnuma and Riyaz reportedly started living separately in 2016 but the former was allegedly kidnapped and forced into flesh trade again in 2019. Riyaz meanwhile is on the run.

“I have been trying to get police to register an FIR, but they are not complying. My application was submitted in September, it is already November now,” she was quoted as saying by The Print.

“I have followed up with various levels of police authorities multiple times. I was told to give some money, but why should I spread corruption? I am right in my place.”

Rehnuma reportedly filed her complaint on September 24 in Mumbai’s Santacruz under Sections 406, 420, 354, 354(A), 354(B), 509, 370, 376, 376(D), 377, 356, and 386, among others of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
