Odisha chit fund scam: CBI grills scribe for nearly five hours

Editor of ‘UT Mirror’ magazine Santosh Pandey was subjected to a marathon grilling by CBI sleuths in connection with the Odisha chit fund scam at its office here today.

Pandey, who arrived at the CBI office at around 11.30 AM, came out at 4.15 pm. He chose not to say anything when asked by waiting media persons what he was questioned about.

But sources in the CBI said Pandey was interrogated about the Rrs 27 lakh UT Mirror had received from the Seashore Group towards advertisement between 2011 and 2013.

The CBI, which is investigating the mega chit fund scam in the Seashore Group, had earlier summoned Pandey for interrogation, the sources added.
