12 Odisha Fire personnel test COVID positive after returning from Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 out of the 372 Odisha Fire Service personnel, who had gone to Kolkata for Cyclone Amphan restoration work, have tested positive for COVID-19, informed Fire Service DG Satyajit Mohanty today.

“State government has ensured the best possible medical care. Wish the brave hearts fast recovery,” Mohanty tweeted.

This apart, 49 NDRF personnel, who had gone to West Bengal from Odisha to undertake Amphan restoration work, also tested positive for the virus. The NDRF and Odisha Fire Service personnel are among the 146 persons who tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.
