170 more test COVID-19 positive in Odisha; here’re district-wise details

Bhubaneswar: As many as 170 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 6350, said Information and Public Relation Department.

While 143 cases have been reported from quarantine centres, remaining 27 are local contacts, said the department.

Of the total fresh cases, 169  have been reported from 14 districts: Nabarangpur (19), Rayagada (16), Khordha (19), Ganjam (58), Jajpur (3), Malkangiri(5), Puri (6), Cuttack (14), Nayagarh (3), Gajapati (16),  Bargarh (1), Kendrapada (6), Sambalpur (2) and Koraput (1).

Besides, remaining 1 case is a NDRF personnel, who was under quarantine, after returning from Amphan duty in West Bengal.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 1903. While 4432 patients have recovered in the state so far, 17 succumbed to the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 5314 samples were tested whereas total 2,49, 908 tests have been conducted in the state so far.
