Over 20 killed in Kabul blast

Kabul, April 19:

Over 20 people were reported killed and more than 160 others injured in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul.

The deadly explosion took place around 9.00 a.m. near the Afghan presidential palace, apparently targetting a Secret Service Unit tasked with protecting VIPs, TOLO News reported.

The Taliban militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Health officials have said the number of casualties may rise.

President Ashraf Ghani has condemned the incident and labelled it a terrorist attack. (IANS)
