Bhubaneswar: As many as 3252 COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 97,920, informed the Government.
Khordha recorded highest 762 cases followed by Rayagada (450), Cuttack (332) and Ganjam (169). Total nine districts reported over 100 fresh cases.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1987 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1265 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 29,571. However, 67,826 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 58,813 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 16,70,910 tests have been conducted in the state.
