Teachers of four Odisha schools honoured at edu summit

Bhubaneswar: A teacher not just teaches what’s written in books, but also builds a child brick by brick, in the best form possible.

This is what Sandhya Jena, principal of one of the oldest schools in Bhubaneswar, Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School, believes. She was awarded the best principal award for her commendable work as a principal at the 1st National Edu Summit and Edu Awards in Odisha capital on December 9-10, organized by Center for Educational Development, Delhi.

“We have always loved her because she makes this school and all us students, a family. She is the best teacher ever!” exclaimed Arin Patnaik, a student from BJEM School.

It was a two-day event in which 170 schools from across the country participated. Principals and Vice-principals of various schools were here for panel and group discussions on different aspects of education.
