Narrow escape for students as school van plunges into pond in Odisha

Keonjhar: A major mishap was averted after a school van carrying around 15 students fell into a pond near Jambira under Hatadihi block in Keonjhar district today.

Though no casualty was reported, a person was critical injured while a few others suffered minor injuries in the mishap.

Sources said when the van carrying students was on its way to the school, the driver lost control over the vehicle. Following this, the van skidded off the road and plunged into the water body.
