Another low pressure likely; heavy rain in Odisha from Sept 20!

Bhubaneswar: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to lash several parts of Odisha as a fresh Low Pressure area is likely to develop over Northeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around September 20 .

As per a special bulletin issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre, under the influence of the system, widespread rainfall activity will be observed over Odisha with heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur in some districts between September 20 and  September 23.

Squally weather surface wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph is very likely over Northeast adjoining East central Bay of Bengal starting September 20, the bulletin added.

Therefore, fishermen have been advised not to venture into deep sea and those in deep sea area are advised to return to coast by September 20.
