Bhubaneswar: Vehicles found parked on these roads to be towed; owner to be fined

Bhubaneswar: Vehicles parked on congested stretches of roads in the city will be towed while fine will be imposed on the owner.

A decision in this regard has been taken by the Twin City Commissionerate Police to regulate parking and ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Citizens have been advised not to park vehicles on predominantly congested stretches of road. They have been asked to park their vehicles at designated parking spaces or away from main road.

Violation will attract a fine of Rs 500. The rule will be implemented strictly on the following stretches.

  • IDBI Bank Square to Veterinary College, NH-16 via Empire Hotel.
  • Alok Bharti Building to Saheed Nagar Durga Puja Mandap on Janpath.
  • Janpath (Kalyan Jewellers) to Charka Medical Store via Sparsh Hospital.
  • Trupti Service Station of Janpath to Saheed Nagar Entry Point.
