Bid to loot on-board train passengers foiled in Odisha; 4 nabbed

Khordha: Foiling a loot bid inside train, the Government Railway Police (GRP) nabbed four looters at Khordha Road Railway Station here last night.

Acting on a tip-off about their loot plan in train, the GRP along with a Railway Protection Force (RPF) team conducted a raid and nabbed the four from Platform-7 at the railway station. The cops seized sharp weapons, a toy gun, chili powder and 15 mobile phones from their possessions.

The arrested are Alli and SK Abis of Mundia Sahi of Jatni, Krushna Swain of Kudiari area and Bisnu Prasad Swain of Harirajpur area. They had planned to loot on-board train passengers after attacking them, said GRP official Santosh Bahinipati.
