Protesting police excesses in the matter, several students today blocked the road in front of the college by burning tyres. They also locked some lecturers inside classroom, sources said.

“Badagada police station IIC Suvendu Sinha is not arresting those students against whom there are allegations. He is acting like a BJP agent and troubling Biju Chatra Janata Dal (BCJD) members. If any action is not taken against the IIC, we will intensify our agitation in coming days,” said a student.
