New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party today released the list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls to be held in seven phases from April 11.
The saffron party released the list of 182 candidates. JP Nadda announced this at the party headquarters here.
The party announced the names of 10 candidates from Odisha. They are: Jual Oram (Sundargarh), Ananta Nayak (Keonjhar), Pratap Sarangi (Balasore), Rudra Narayan Pani (Dhenkanal), Sangita Kumari Singhdeo (Bolangir), Balabhadra Majhi (Nabaragnpur), Baijayant Panda (Kendrapara), Aparajita Sarangi (Bhubaneswar), Anita Priyadarshini (Aska) and Bhrugu Buxipatra (Berhampur).
While Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi, party national president Amit Shah will contest from Gandhi Nagar. Similarly, Rajnath Singh has been fielded from Lucknow and Nitin Gadkari has been nominated to contest from Nagpur. The party has pitted Smriti Irani against Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
