BREAKING: Odisha records all-time-high of 3371 fresh COVID-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: An all-time-high of 3371 COVID-19 cases were reported in Odisha in a single day today taking the state’s tally to 87, 602 , informed the Government.

Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 2053 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1318 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Total 11 districts reported over 100 fresh cases in a single day with Khordha registering highest 547 cases followed by Cuttack (357) and Ganjam (196).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 27,638. However, 59,470 patients have recovered in the state so far.

It is pertinent to mention here that total 63209 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 14,85,167 tests have been conducted in the state.
