BSE Odisha begins online enrolment of class-IX students

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha today began online enrolment of class-IX students who would appear the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations in 2016.

BSEThe enrolment would continue till January 22.

“Earlier, enrolment of class-IX students was being done manually. But as a number of mistakes were found in the process, we have decided to introduce online enrolmemnt for the first time from this year,” BSE president Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda told the media.

He said the BSE has created the user ID and password for each recognised high school in the state that are available on the BSE website www.bseodisha.nic.in

The User ID and passwords are also available with the District Education Officer (DEO), who will decide the centre for enrolment of the students of the school having no Internet facility.

The centres where these school students can enrol their names are e-Vidyalaya, Block Resource Centre Coordinator (BRCC) office, DEO office, District Project Coordinator (DPC) office, government ST schools and District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) office.

The students will have to deposit Rs 40 as fees in the bank through the computerised pay-in slips  for online registration, Nanda added.

The BSE secretary also informed that the Board has set up a helpline desk with five contact numbers to help the students know the details of the enrolment process.

These numbers are, 8338914895, 8338914807, 8338914885, 8338914852 and 0674-2397110.

The helpdesk will be available for the students from 8 AM to 8 PM everyday till January 22, he said.
