Carcass of tiger found in Odisha, probe on

Carcass of a tiger was found at Choramunda forest under Lakhna police limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district last night.

According to reports, locals spotted the animal lying dead with blood trickling out of its nose and informed the officials of Lathor Forest Range who rushed to the spot.

The carcass was sent for post mortem.

It is suspected that the tiger might have migrated from Sunabeda sanctuary or Dedenga forest.

“The reason behind the death of the tiger can be ascertained after post mortem. A probe is also going on into the incident,” a forest official said.
