College fees for physically challenged students waived in Odisha

The Odisha government has decided not to collect fee from the physically challenged students.

The Higher Education department, in an order, has asked university vice chancellors, director, Higher Education, regional directors and chairman of Plus Two Council to strictly adhere to the decision in this regard.

For waiver of fees, the department has classified the physically challenged students in three segments.

There would be total fee waiver for the blind students using Braille, students with total hearing losses and students having 75 percent disability.

The department has asked the aforesaid authorities to implement the order with immediate effect.
