Date of application for Odisha JEE exams extended

The date of application for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2015-16, scheduled on May 10, has been extended to March 20.

Odisha JEE OJEEAnnouncing this on Monday, OJEE chairman Tushar Nath said in view of the annual Plus Two examinations currently underway in the state and less number of applicants for Lateral Entry Engineering, the last date of application has been extended from March 5 to March 20.

The OJEE examinations would be held for admission in MBA, MCA, Pharmacy, Lateral Entry MBA, Lateral Entry MCA, Lateral Entry Pharmacy, Lateral Entry Engineering, M. Pharm, M. Arch, Ayurveda and Homoeopathy courses.

The OJEE has excluded PGDM, PGCM, PGDM (Executive) and MSC Dual Degree courses from this year’s entrance test.

About 32,000 students have applied for the examinations till date which is 6000 less as compared to last year.

Nath said OJEE has provided scope to the students from outside the state for admission in the Lateral Entry courses.

He also informed that about 10000 students have applied for admission in Ayurveda and Homoeopathic courses this year compared to 8000 last year.

The students will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000 and those who have applied for two subjects will have to pay Rs 15000.

Students unable to make online payment, can make online challan payment in the Canara Bank or Bank of Baroda.

As scheduled, the OJEE examinations would be held in three sittings on May 10.

The first sitting would be from 9 AM to 12 PM, the second sitting from 12 PM to 1 PM and the third sitting from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.

The students can download their admit card from the OJEE website www.odishajee.com from April 20 onwards.

Besides, OJEE, for the first time in the state, has introduced two new courses—B. Plan and M. Plan—in the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) for which it will announce the date of application for admission in these courses within a week.
