Denied money for new dress, 10-year-old boy hacks mother to death in Odisha

Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old boy allegedly hacked his mother to death at Uparbarada village under Nayakote police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district, today.

The deceased was identified as Muga Santa.

According to reports, the boy had asked his mother to give him money for buying new dress.

As the woman refused to give him the amount, he attacked her with axe killing his mother on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation.

The boy was being questioned at the police station in connection with the incident. He will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
