Dreaded criminal, aide injured in police encounter in Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: Odisha police continues to tighten its noose around anti-socials as notorious criminal Muna Sahu and his aide Radha Krushna Sahu were injured in an encounter with cops at Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

Both have been hospitalised and one country made pistol, four rounds of bullets and three bombs were seized from their possession.

According to reports, the duo was allegedly involved in an incident of bombing on a liquor shop here yesterday in which several staff of the shop were injured.

Acting on a tip-off about three persons, including Muna and Radha Krushna, traveling towards Jaleswar Khandi road, Gosaninuagaon police intercepted them.

In a bid to escape, they opened fire at the policemen following which the latter retaliated as a result of which the two sustained bullet injuries on their legs.
