ED grills three more aides of Odisha godman Sarathi Baba

Three more aides of Odisha’s self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul today appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here for questioning.

They are Dharanidhar Mallick, Surendra Mallick, and Bijay Kumar Sahu, sources in ED said.

The trio is being quizzed on land related transactions of the self-proclaimed godman, the sources added.

Sources said the ED on Monday subjected godman’s brother Debendra Raul and aide Khagendra Rout alias Khaga to marathon grilling of five hours over financial transactions of Satyam Trust.

The ED during the interrogation of the duo tried to ascertain if any act of money laundering had taken place with the huge amount of money that the godman had gained, the sources added.

It may be recalled here that earlier the ED had quizzed Sarathi Baba at the Choudwar circle jail.

If sources are to be believed the ED officials are likely to summon godman’s adopted son Satyam Raul on June 4 for questioning soon over financial matters related to the Trust among other things.
