Elephant attacks claim 3 lives in Odisha

Angul/Sundargarh/Rayagada, May 26:

Three persons, including a minor boy, lost their lives in elephant attack at separate places in Odisha today.

A 7-year-old boy was crushed to death by an elephant at Dhobadanda village in Sundargarh district while he was going to a nearby forest with his mother and brother, who sustained injuries in the jumbo attack and were hospitalised.

Similarly, an elderly person of Basantpur village under Chhendipada police limits in Angul district was trampled to death by a wild elephant while he was on his way to a nearby field to attend nature’s call.

In another incident, a villager of Gunduriguda under Ambadala police limits in Rayagada district lost his life in an attack by a wild pachyderm.
