Exclusion of Odisha athlete Dutee from Indian CWG squad raised in Lok Sabha

The Union government on Monday assured to provide all possible assistance to Odisha’s top sprinter Dutee Chand for her participation in future sports events.
Dutee Chand, the top woman athlete from Odisha was excluded from the Indian squad for the Commonwealth Games in the last minute on the ground of having high androgen level.
Union Sports minister Sarbnanda Sonowal told the Lok Sabha “This is a very sensitive question. I assure the august House that our government will extend all possible help to this player to participate in future events”.
Sonowal made the statement after senior BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahtab raised the issue during the ‘zero hour’.
Drawing the attention of the government to the issue, Mahtab said the promising career of ace sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand had come to ‘a grinding halt’ due to a sex test conducted on her just ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
The senior BJD MP from Cuttack insisted that the government seek a reply from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Athletics Federation of India (AFI) as to why only she was put to the test and appealed to the government to take steps so that Dutee could overcome the androgen level and resume her career.
Referring to the laurels brought to the country by the athlete in 100 metre and 200 metre events, the BJD leader said the gender test conducted just ahead of the Games was “illegal”.
i think SAI authority and AFI people should undergo eligibility test whether even they belong to SAI , AFI. First they should undergo the same tests that they are providing to other athelets they themselves should be bound to undergo sex test, androgen level test if the official are with excess androgen , female hormone level should be debarred taken out of the committies of SAI, AFI and should get a life time ban as they are imposing on other atheletes…these SAI, AFI donot have trust in their own atheletes or else they purposefully want to take the appt candidate out of seat so that if their relatives/ athelete do not qualify then why let others do..i request mr modi if such is the response of SAI, AFI and not only them , other orghanizations then i am sorry sir the words u said to open sports school n all is all in water……………… this is a shame for indians they dont realize that such partiallity, such mean minded people should be removed from the organization, to open up paths to upcoming sports players, sports lovers, such bitchy people from AFI, SAI should be kicked out , who dare to conduct such test without any authorization, if they had done, every thing must be done concerning the centiments of the players, its very very important ; in turn exploitation should not take place using media, or any other sources and balme games should stop and new authority for SAI, AFI should be formed to promote the sportive spirit , and every body must be guided and taken care to guide them in a proper direction like own children to promote the gud moral spirit, time to time moral education , beavioural education to every one must be given 2 all, for a gud moralistsic society.
