Five killed in two separate road mishaps in Odisha’s Soro

At least five persons were killed in two separate road mishaps near Soro in Odisha’s Balasore district today.

While the first mishap took place at Uttareswar near Soro, the other took place at Khantapada.

At Uttareswar two persons were killed and three others were injured.

A car carrying four passengers travelling from Baripada to Jajpur hit a motor bike which subsequently hit a bicycle.

Both the biker and the cyclist were killed on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Chandan Murmu and Gopinath Behera.

Locals had staged a road blockade after the accident.

Later in the afternoon in a separate incident, two men and a girl were killed near the BPCL filling station at Khantapada near Soro. The three who were astride a motor bike were hit by a truck.

While the truck has fled the spot after causing the mishap, all the three who were astride the bike have been killed on the spot.
